Former presidential candidate of African Action Congress, Omoyele Sowore, has hit back at the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, for allegedly threatening him (Sowore) over his criticisms of President Bola Tinubu.

On Thursday, Wike lambasted social critics, particularly Sowore for frequently criticizing the president.

Wike said critics were “lucky” that Tinubu was a tolerant leader who believed in rule of law, warning that such criticism could have serious consequences under any other president.

In his reaction, the human rights activist, in a statement posted on his verified X account on Thursday, accused Wike of gross misconduct during his political career, saying he ought to be facing prosecution at the International Criminal Court (ICC).

He wrote, “I heard that the FCT’s drunkard–murderer -landgrabber-thief Minister, Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, said Bola Ahmed Tinubu should have assassinated me for calling him #TinubuisAcriminal.”

“ME: If Nigerians weren’t so docile, complacent, and cowardly, criminals, thieves, and murderers like Wike would never have any leadership roles in this country.

“SAD! Wike stole land in Abuja, Wike robbed the people of Rivers state, and Wike massacred Igbos at Obigbo.”

“Wike should be in the Hague at the International Criminal Court.”
